Thomas Dang Whitehorse, Yukon

Hello again, World!

I rebuilt the whole site. Again.

Almost four years ago I promised I’d post more content eventually. Instead, here’s a new website. Classic.

The old site ran on Jekyll with the beautiful-jekyll theme. It did its job, but it looked like something from a long time ago, because it was. So I’ve rebuilt the whole thing in Astro.

The background is a real map. The contours are drawn from public elevation data for western Canada, and the dashed line is the road between where I grew up and where I live now: Edmonton up Highway 43 to Dawson Creek, then the Alaska Highway through Fort Nelson, Liard River Hot Springs, and Watson Lake to Whitehorse. On a desktop, hover over the map on the home page and it’ll tell you the latitude, longitude, and elevation under your cursor. Every page header is a real place too, mostly in the Yukon and Alberta.

The orange stays, obviously.

Everything else is still here: the writeups, the CV, and the signed safety numbers if you need to verify it’s actually me. There’s also a new gallery.

I’ll post more content eventually. I promise. Again.
